Ils se disputent et Alice part avec Mr. Crewe, un artiste qu’elle avait auparavant accepté de rencontrer.\nA son studio, Alice flirte innocemment avec l’artiste, qui la convainc d’essayer une robe. Mais au moment où elle se change, l’homme tente de l’agresser. Alice saisit un couteau de cuisine qui se trouve à sa portée et frappe son assaillant à mort. Après avoir tâché de dissimuler toute trace de sa présence dans l’appartement, Alice quitte les lieux.
